Rehabilitation Following Orthopaedic Surgery or Fractures
It is common to experience joint stiffness and muscle weakness from having an affected limb immobilised after a fracture or surgery. Physiotherapy is crucial in helping with recovery from such injuries. After surgery or fractures there will usually be a ‘post-operative/injury protocol’ provided by your Orthopaedic Consultant.
How physiotherapy can help:
We will follow the orthopaedic protocol provided by your Orthopaedic Consultant to assist you in returning to your normal level of movement and activity – gaining and maintaining range of movement and, increasing muscle strength and stability through the use of exercise rehabilitation, manual therapy and taping where needed.
